Warranties & Care


STAINLESS STEEL CARE: All of our stainless steel furniture is 304 grade, this is the strongest metal against corrosion/rust.  Please note surface rust & pitting can occur, this will happen with more exposure to humid temperatures, chlorine & salt.  To minimize this we suggest the following at the beginning and end of the patio season.  Clean your stainless steel with a non-abrasive cloth, water and a mild soap (dawn dish soap), rinse and dry.  Apply a thin coat of mineral oil over the entire surface of the frame and wipe off excess with a clean microfiber cloth.  If rust/pitting occurs use a Scotch Brite® pad and CLR CREAM.  Move pad with muscle in the same direction of the steel, then rinse extremely well with water and apply mineral oil.  For scratches use a scotch bright pad and mineral oil, rubbing in direction of the grain.

TEAK CARE: All of our grade A teak is the most durable wood used for exterior furniture and can last you a lifetime.  Teak is a natural material that will absorb moisture, show scratches & develop hairline cracks as it expands and contracts.  Teak will naturally begin to “grey” or patina due to UV exposure.  You will see the patina happen within months to a full year, depending on sun exposure.  We recommend keeping your teak in it’s natural state for minimal maintenance and enjoy the weathered patina look that is so classic of teak.  For regular cleaning, use water or water & dawn dish soap.  Leave your teak exposed over the winter months to avoid trapping moisture and encouraging the growth of mold and mildew.  When mold and mildew occurs, use a mixture of bleach and water to remove, dish soap can also be added to this mixture if desired.  Lightweight sandpaper can also be used to remove stains however this can re-expose the natural teak that will again patina with time.

WOVEN RESIN AND PAINT FINISH CARE:  All of our woven resin is made from high-density polyethylene.  All weaves have been extensively tested to stand up to UV as well as our hot and cold Canadian climate.   Our resins will not crack or absorb moisture, they will experience very minimal fading in their lifetime.  Structurally, our frames are made from heavy gauge tubular aluminum.  All paint finishes have been powder coated for exterior use.   To clean both your painted aluminum and woven furniture, use nothing more than a non-abrasive cloth, water and a mild detergent (dawn dish soap).  Using any type of chemical or cleaner will VOID YOUR WARRANTY and can negatively affect your finishes.  Use a hose to rinse off any dirt or soap, DO NOT power-wash.

DEKKO FIRE PITS: Comprised of a lightweight concrete composite Dekko fire pits are made to withstand the elements year round.  Please use the vinyl cover provided, to keep debris and dirt out of your burner (once your pit has cooled) Important: Prior to regular use, it is strongly advised to cure the river rock. This is a 1-time step, remove any cracked rocks, move surrounding furniture and ignite fire pit for a min of 1 hour. Any rocks that have moisture/hairlines cracks will crack or pop at this time.  Dekko heat treated rocks will blacken with use. 

UMBRELLA CARE:  All of our Treasure Garden Umbrellas are made with aluminum frames.  Umbrellas should always be kept closed when not in use or if someone is not outside.  Please ensure that when using your AKZ it has been opened completely so that the frame is in its most stable state.  Please ensure your AKZ has no tilt applied from side to side prior to opening it & closing it.  Never force your umbrella.  For Canopy see Sunbrella fabric care.

SUNBRELLA FABRIC CARE: Cushions & canopies are to be spot cleaned, always start with a non-abrasive dry cloth to remove soil as it may be topical.  If that does not work, next use water or water and dawn dish soap, be sure to rinse well with water to avoid soap rings.  If cushions are fully saturated, tilt the cushion up with zipper side down for drainage and place in full sun to dry. CUSTOM CUSHIONS: *Please note that all custom cushions are not guaranteed to be remade to match 100% your exact template or the dimensions provided.  With all upholstery, there will likely be a ½ to 1-inch overall expansion or contraction difference in length/width/height due to swelling of foam & inners or the tightness/contraction due to different material used from the original.

STANDARD & CUSTOM COVERS:  All Covers are for winter protection & summer cushion and dirt protection.  Please note covers are not 100% waterproof, some moisture can get through the seams.  Clean your covers with dawn dish soap & water, bleach & water can be used to remove mold and mildew.  Once annually Casualife standard beige covers can be put in the washing machine, cold water wash, hang dry and add bleach to remove mold and mildew.  CUSTOM covers are excluded from the washing machine, spot wash only.


FURNITURE FRAMES: 5 years structural   

DEKKO: 1 year on the burner

WOVEN RESIN: 3 years against cracking or unraveling                                         

UMBRELLA: 1 year on frames (excluding weather damage)

PAINT FINISHES: 3 years against paint defect, blister or pealing                         

CUSHIONS & COVERS: 1 year on workmanship        

SEAT WEBS:  3 year

SUNBRELLA FABRIC: 5-year warranty, protecting against the fabric becoming unserviceable due to color or strength loss from normal usage and exposure conditions including sunlight, mildew and atmospheric chemicals
